Mrs. Echo Morris
Echo Morris was born and raised in a small town in Indiana outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. She moved to Maryland with her husband, Jeremy, and her first son Riley. They went on to have three more boys, Harrison, Maddox and Dixon. Echo has been singing all of her life and in ministry for music for over a decade. Her favorite type of worship music is folk rock.
When she’s not in church, she is either shuttling her kids to and from school, working with Sophie and Madigan’s Playground — a local charity building an inclusive playground, or off at a thrift store of yard sale. She’s never met a stranger and loves to explore life over iced coffee.
Mrs. Janet Wyckoff
Children's Ministry Leader
Janet Wyckoff moved to Maryland with her son Justin as he took the role of Family Pastor at FBC.
She was not raised in church, and knew nothing of Jesus. Her children were invited on a local church bus and because they wanted to go, she joined as well. She was suspicious and annoyed but people kept loving her and sharing the gospel. She was 30 years old when she accepted the Gospel. She has worked in various areas of church ministry since 1983. Her work in Children’s Ministry is extensive over the last 37 years. She has led countless Sunday School classes, bus ministries and vacation Bible schools. She shudders to think about where she would be today if someone hadn’t cared enough to witness to her and so now she is determined to tell others about Jesus and working with children gives her that opportunity.
Mrs. Katrina Ashley
Instrumental Worship Leader
Katrina has been involved in church music from the time she was a teenager, starting with special music and choir. She has been singing her whole life, played the trumpet through middle and high school and started learning guitar as a teenager. After getting married, she relocated to New York and co-led the worship team at her church there before returning to Maryland.
She began attending First Baptist Church in 2015 and began serving on the worship team shortly after. She and her husband are raising three young boys who also love music. Katrina is an in home caregiver. When not playing music or caring for others, she is an avid knitter and one of her most impressive works includes the sweater featured in her picture.
